Center/forward Noah Vonleh will make the Celtics’ final roster ahead of the regular season, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Vonleh, 27, is 6-foot-10 and was originally drafted by the Hornets with the No. 9 overall pick in 2014. He has also spent time with the Trail Blazers, Bulls, Knicks, Timberwolves, Nuggets and Nets.
Last season, he played for the Shanghai Sharks of the Chinese Basketball Association, signing a non-guaranteed deal with Boston in August. That deal will now be converted to a standard contract.
Vonleh will help shore up a Celtics’ frontcourt that is missing Robert Williams III, who’s recovering from a knee injury. The contract for Vonleh will become fully guaranteed for the season if he’s not waived before Jan. 7.
