Free agent center Norvel Pelle has agreed to a contract with the Cleveland Charge of the G League, according to JD Shaw of Hoops Rumors.
Pelle, 28, is 6-foot-10 and has bounced around the NBA, appearing in nine games with the Knicks, three with the Nets, and one with the Kings — all coming last season. He also appeared in 24 games with the 76ers in 2019-20.
As Shaw wrote, Pelle is known for being a strong interior defender. His G League returning player rights belong to the Charge after appearing in three games with the team last season. In those games, Pelle averaged 10.0 points and 10.7 rebounds.
The Charge are coached by former Cavs assistant Dan Geriot and feature several former NBA players, including Kyle Guy, Justin James and Malik Newman. Tacko Fall and RJ Nembhard are Cleveland’s two-way players.
