Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon isn’t with the team, but that could change soon.
Per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Gordon is expected to return soon despite being bitten by a dog on Christmas Day, suffering lacerations to his face and right shooting hand.
While it seems Gordon’s status is still up in the air, “there’s optimism that his absence will be short-term,” Wojnarowski wrote.
Meanwhile, the Nuggets said he is in “good condition” but will remain away from the team while he recovers. No timetable for his return was provided.
Gordon, 28, is averaging 13.6 points and 6.9 boards in his fourth season in Denver and 11th season overall.
