The Nuggets have signed power forward Petr Cornelie to a two-way contract, president of basketball operations Tim Connelly announced in a press release.
Cornelie, 26, is 6-foot-11 and spent last season with French club Élan Béarnais Pau-Lacq-Orthez. He has spent his entire pro career in France.
Now, he will split his time between the Nuggets and the Grand Rapids Gold, Denver’s affiliate in the G League. He was originally selected by the Nuggets in the second round (No. 53 overall) of the 2016 NBA Draft.
Point guard Markus Howard holds the Nuggets’ other two-way spot. Training camp is set to begin at the end of the month.
