The Nuggets are among those with an interest in Raptors forward OG Anunoby, who supposedly could be made available, per Matt Moore of Action Network.
While it’s not clear if the Nuggets actually have the assets to land Anunoby, or the Raptors are actually exploring trades, there is no doubt new Denver head of basketball operations Calvin Booth is looking to make some moves. The goal, of course, being to contend for a title with NBA MVP Nikola Jokic as the centerpiece.
As Moore wrote, the Nuggets are expecting both Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. to return from injuries next season, which in and of itself will provide Jokic with the needed boost.
Booth is replacing Tim Connelly, who exited for the same position with the Timberwolves.
Anunoby, 24, is 6-foot-7 and coming off a season in which he averaged a career-high 17.q points and 5.5 rebounds, but was limited to just 48 regular-season games. He has spent all five of his NBA seasons in Toronto.
Along with the Nuggets, the Jaz and Trail Blazers are among those who believed to be interested, as we relayed earlier via Bleacher Report’s Jake Fischer.
