Nuggets guard Markus Howard will miss at least six weeks with a sprained knee, the team announced in a press release.
Howard, 22, is 5-foot-10 and is in his second season, and second season on a two-way contract with Denver. He has appeared in 16 games this year and is averaging 4.3 points.
It’s been one injury after another for the Nuggets dating back to last season, when guard Jamal Murray tore an ACL. He remains out.
They also lost small forward Michael Porter Jr. (back) and guard PJ Dozier (knee) for the season. As an aside, the Nuggets have placed Porter in the health and safety protocols, per Mike Singer of the Denver Post.
Because of all the injuries, the Nuggets may be granted a hardship exception to sign some help, Singer tweeted.
