The Pacers are continuing to explore trades centered on shooting guard Caris LeVert, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
While Charania didn’t mention which rival teams have engaged Indiana on LeVert talks, several have creeped up over recent weeks. That list includes the 76ers, Raptors, Kings and Nuggets, among others.
Also, the Cavaliers reportedly have already spoken to the Pacers about LeVert, though those talks took place in early December. It’s not been determined if the teams have revisited those conversations more recently.
Charania reported, however, the Cavs are still interested.
LeVert, 27, is 6-foot-6 and entered Monday averaging 17.8 points, 4.0 assists and 3.3 rebounds in 28 games.
He’s not an All-Star, but he’s very good, theoretically still has plenty of good years left, and is still capable of scoring 20-25 a night, as he averaged a career-high 20.7 points last season.
LeVert played for the Nets from 2016-21, and was part of the four-team trade with the Rockets, Cavs and Pacers that sent James Harden to the Nets a year ago. That trade also sent center Jarrett Allen to the Cavs.
