The Pacers have signed shooting guard Nate Hinton, the team announced in a press release.
The deal is an Exhibit 10 training camp contact, agent Tallen Todorovich told JD Shaw of Hoops Rumors.
Hinton, 22, is 6-foot-5 and appeared in 21 games with the Mavericks last season, averaging 2.0 points on 36 percent shooting. He also spent time with the Santa Cruz Warriors, averaging 10.6 points and 7.1 rebounds in 10 appearances.
“The Mavs issued a qualifying offer to Hinton earlier this summer to make him a restricted free agent and he accepted it, briefly returning to the team on a second two-way deal,” noted Luke Adams of Hoops Rumors. “However, Dallas waived him in August in order to open up a two-way slot for JaQuori McLaughlin.”
Hinton joins Keifer Sykes and Terry Taylor as players coming to Pacers camp on Exhibit 10 deals. Indiana currently has 13 players on guaranteed deals, with room for more.
