The Pelicans have waived guards Izaiah Brockington, Jalen Crutcher and Tevian Jones, forward Malcolm Hill and center Trey Jemison, per the NBA transactions log.
All five players had signed Exhibit 10 contracts — meaning they are likely headed to the Birmingham Squadron of the G League. If so, each will be eligible for a bonus of up to $75,000 should he remain with the franchise for at least 60 days.
Jemison received the most playing time of the five in the preseason, and really made his mark in the rebounding department, averaging 4.3 points and 6.8 rebounds in four games.
New Orleans has 13 players with guaranteed deals and has filled two of its three two-way slots. Guard Jose Alvarado also has a partial-guarantee on his deal.
