Pelicans general manager Trajan Langdon may be a candidate for the Wizards’ head of basketball operations vacancy, per Josh Robbins of The Athletic.
Langdon, a former NBA guard, has worked under New Orleans head of basketball operations David Griffin since May 2019, when he came over from the Nets.
Along with being assistant GM in Brooklyn (2016-19), he served as a scout with the Spurs, starting in 2012.
Langdon, 46, has been a candidate for several front-office openings over the past few offseasons and is expected to be so again this year.
The Wizards parted ways with GM Tommy Sheppard earlier in the week. Team owner Ted Leonsis said that Washington is looking to find a replacement from outside the organization.
Timberwolves executive Tim Connelly, a Baltimore native, could also become a candidate, per Robbins.
