The Pelicans have signed forward Gary Clark, the team announced in a release.
While terms weren’t announced, Shams Charania of The Athletic reported that Clark received a nonguaranteed deal for the rest of the season. The Pelicans will have to decide on guaranteeing the deal before Jan. 7.
Clark, 27, is 6-foot-6 and has been playing for the Mexico City Capitanes of the G League. He appeared in 35 games with the Magic last season, averaging 3.4 points and 3.2 rebounds while playing both forward spots.

He then appeared in two games apiece with the Nuggets and 76ers. Along with those teams, Clark was a regular contributor for the Rockets when his NBA career began (2018-20).
“While it’s a small sample, he has been letting it fly from beyond the three-point line in the NBA G League and has made 37.3% of 7.4 attempts per game so far,” wrote Luke Adams of Hoops Rumors. “Clark’s minimum-salary contract will pay him just over $9,900 per day.”
