The Pelicans have signed point guard Jared Harper to a two-way contract, per a team press release.
Harper, 24, is 5-foot-10 and best known for his strong play during Auburn’s NCAA Tournament run in 2019. He most recently has been playing for the Birmingham Squadron, the Pelicans’ G League affiliate.
In 29 games with Birmingham, Harper posted averages of 21.7 points, 7.0 assists and 4.1 rebounds. He signed a two-way contract with the Pelicans back in December, but was waived a few weeks later, after appearing in two games.
He has also spent time with the Suns and the Knicks, and has played 13 NBA games overall. The Pelicans’ roster now stands at 17, including the two two-way players.
