The Pelicans are signing undrafted guard Izaiah Brockington to a two-way contract, agent Darrell Comer told Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Brockington, 23, finished his college career at Iowa State and as Wojnarowski relayed, suffered a torn ACL prior to the NBA Draft. He is hopeful of returning later in the season.
He actually played college basketball for three schools — spending time at St. Bonaventure and Penn State before concluding at Iowa State.
Brockington will join Dereon Seabron as the Pelicans’ two-way players. Second-round pick E.J. Liddell also suffered a torn ACL, in summer league play, and remains unsigned.
