Beal broke his nose on January 26 against the Indiana Pacers. He played nine games with a mask.

Beal is also dealing with a hamstring injury. However, he could play in the Suns’ first game after the NBA All-Star break on February 22 against the Dallas Mavericks.

In his first season with the Suns, Beal is averaging 18.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.3 blocks while shooting 49.5% from the field, 36.3% from beyond the arc and 77.5% from the free-throw line.

The Suns are 33-22. They are in sixth place in the Western Conference standings.

Beal is making $46.7 million this season. He signed a five-year, $251 million contract with the Washington Wizards in July 2022.

A three-time All-Star, Beal has career averages of 22.0 points, 4.1 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.4 blocks with the Wizards and Suns. He’s played in only 30 games this season due to injuries.

The Suns are expected to compete for the championship this season with Beal, Kevin Durant and Devin Booker leading the way. It will be fascinating to see how far Phoenix goes in the 2024 playoffs.

Beal, 30, needs to stay healthy for the Suns to win it all. The Florida product has career postseason averages of 23.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.5 steals and 0.6 blocks with the Wizards.

The Suns lost to the Denver Nuggets in the 2023 Western Conference Semifinals in six games. They have zero titles in franchise history.
