The Pistons have agreed to a three-year contract with forward Kelly Olynyk, agent Jeff Schwartz told Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
The deal is worth $37 million, Wojnarowski added, and the third year includes a team option, per James Edwards III of The Athletic.
Olynyk was traded from the Heat to the Rockets in March, then went on a career-defining 29-game run to finish the season. During that stretch, he averaged 19.0 points, 8.4 rebounds and 4.1 assists.
Detroit agreed to trade center Mason Plumlee to Charlotte last week, so was looking for a big man to help in the development of No. 1 overall draft pick and new rookie guard Cade Cunnningham.
