Anthony Davis is not on the Pistons’ trade radar.

According to Hunter Patterson of The Athletic, Detroit has no current plans to pursue the Mavericks’ big man and is instead prioritizing internal growth. While reports late last week suggested the Pistons could be suitors for Davis, league sources told The Athletic that the organization remains focused on letting its young roster continue to develop.

Detroit’s front office has been consistent in its messaging, emphasizing chemistry and patience rather than disrupting a group that has exceeded expectations. The Pistons are expected to take a similar approach even as offseason signings become trade-eligible, remaining opportunistic but not aggressive.

That stance aligns with Detroit’s position in the standings. The Pistons sit at 21-5, leading the Eastern Conference, and have emerged as one of the league’s most balanced teams on both ends of the floor.

Davis, meanwhile, continues to draw league-wide interest as Dallas weighs its options. He is earning $54.1 million this season, with $58.5 million owed next year and a $62.8 million player option for 2027-28.
