Pistons forward Jerami Grant will sit out the remainder of season with a left calf strain, the team announced in a press release.
Grant, 28, is 6-foot-8 and leads the Pistons in scoring at 19.2 points in 47 games. He suffered the the injury in Friday’s game against the Wizards.
Prior to the deadline in February, Grant’s name surfaced in multiple trade rumors — something that is likely to become the case again this summer. The Pistons, of course, would be open to keeping Grant, but he is also sure to draw plenty of interest from contenders.
Several league sources told Hoops Wire before the deadline they didn’t think Detroit would get what it’s seeking in exchange for Grant.
