Pistons forward Jerami Grant has been at the center of multiple rumors ahead of the trade deadline, and he may have a “wish list” of places he would like to play if he’s dealt.
Per Brian Windhorst of ESPN, Grant’s agents provided the Pistons with a list of teams that he prefers as potential next destinations.
“I was told his representation came to the Pistons and said, ‘If you’re going to trade him, here’s a list of teams we would be interested in going to play for,'” Windhorst said on The Hoop Collective podcast, via RealGM.
As we relayed earlier, the Lakers and Jazz are said to be interested in Grant, and he is said to be the top trade target for Utah ahead of the Feb. 10 deadline. He has also been linked to the Trail Blazers.
That said, the Pistons and Grant are said to have a good relationship, and there’s no sense they are determined to move him.
“The Pistons are not even sure if they’re going trade him, much less trade him to one of those teams (on the wish list),” Windhorst added.
Grant, 27, is 6-foot-8 and has also been linked to the Knicks and Wizards.
He has been out since Nov. 10 with a thumb injury, and is currently in health and safety protocols. He leads the Pistons in scoring at 20.1 points, and is also pulling down 4.8 rebounds.
