Teams across the Eastern Conference are preparing for the possibility that Anthony Davis becomes available, and several front offices already see an opening.

According to Shams Charania of ESPN, the Pistons, Raptors and Hawks are among the clubs expected to show interest if the Mavericks decide to shop the All-NBA big man ahead of the February deadline.

Dallas continues to say it wants to evaluate the roster with better health before making major moves, but rival executives are operating under the belief that veteran pieces could be in play. Davis headlines the list.

He is still regarded as a player who can tilt a playoff race, and all three teams view him as someone who could elevate them into favorite status in the East.

The Mavericks have not ruled out extending Davis if he stays. He will be eligible for a four-year, $275 million extension this summer.

Dallas also has decisions to make on Klay Thompson, Daniel Gafford and D’Angelo Russell, who are available in the right deals.
