Pistons Sign Braxton Key To 10-Day Contract

The Pistons have officially signed small forward Braxton Key to a 10-day contract, the team announced in a press release.

Key, 25, is 6-foot-8 and has been playing for the Delaware Blue Coats of the G League, averaging 18.9 points and 7.6 rebounds in 31 appearances. The Blue Coats are the 76ers’ affiliate.

Key signed a 10-day deal with the Sixers in January, appearing in two games. He was assigned to the G League on Jan. 11.

His college career started at Alabama, where he spent two years before transferring and finishing at Virginia. A former NCAA champion while at Virginia, Key went undrafted in 2020, then signed with the Blue Coats the following January. He was signed and waived by the 76ers in October.
