The Pistons have signed shooting guard Cassius Stanley to a third 10-day contract, the team announced in a press release.
Stanley, 22, is 6-foot-5 and has appeared in seven games for Detroit so far this season, averaging 6.9 points and 2.4 rebounds, filling in nicely after starting the year in free agency.
A former standout at Duke and the No. 54 overall pick in the 2020 draft, Stanley played 24 games with the Pacers last season as a rookie.
This season, he spent time with the Motor City Cruise of the G League, the Pistons’ affiliate. For Motor City, he averaged 11.5 points and 4.5 rebounds in 13 games.
“Stanley’s new contract, which will run through January 30 and will pay him $85,578, won’t count against team salary for cap or tax purposes,” noted Luke Adams of Hoops Rumors.
