The Pistons are signing small forward Braxton Key to a two-way contract, according to JD Shaw of Hoops Rumors.
Key, 25, is 6-foot-8 and signed a 10-day contract with the Pistons back on March 24. He has appeared in five games and is averaging 6.8 points and 5.2 rebounds.
Prior to joining the Pistons, Key had been playing for the Delaware Blue Coats of the G League, averaging 18.9 points and 7.6 rebounds in 31 appearances.
Key signed a 10-day deal with the 76ers in January, appearing in two games, before being assigned to the G League on Jan. 11.
His college career started at Alabama, where he spent two years before transferring and finishing at Virginia. A former NCAA champion while at Virginia, Key went undrafted in 2020, then signed with the Blue Coats the following January. He was signed and waived by the 76ers in October.
