The Pistons are signing shooting guard Kyler Edwards to an Exhibit 10 training camp contract, agents Aman Dhesi and Maurice Johnson told JD Shaw of Hoops Rumors.
Edwards, 23, is 6-foot-4 and went undrafted out of Houston in June, making him a rookie free agent. He 3.8 points and 5.9 rebounds during his final run with the Cougars last season, as relayed by Shaw.
While Edwards is a long shot to make the final roster, he very well could end up with the Motor City Cruise of the G League. The Pistons have already signed and waived point guard Keifer Sykes and center Micah Potter this month.
Exhibit 10 contracts count toward a team’s offseason roster limit of 20, but not toward the regular roster unless the player receives a standard deal.
