The Pistons intend to waive small forward Braxton Key and sign guard Jared Rhoden to a two-way contract, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Key, 25, is 6-foot-8 and signed a two-way deal with the Pistons in April. He has appeared in three NBA games this season,
Originally going undrafted in 2021, he appeared in two games with the the 7t6ers in January. Overall, Key has played nine NBA games and carries averages of 5.9 points and 3.6 rebounds.
Rhoden, 23, is 6-6 and went undrafted out of Seton Hall this past summer. He signed a non-guaranteed deal with the Trail Blazers in August but was waived before the start of the season in October.
He was then claimed on waivers by the Hawks, then waived a day later. He has since been playing for the G League’s College Park SkyHawks, Atlanta’s affiliate.
