G League forward Mouhamadou Gueye is set to make a return to the Toronto Raptors on a two-way contract, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Gueye, 25, signed a 10-day deal with the Raptors last month, making an appearance in one game for the team. Before that, he was on the camp roster on an Exhibit 10 contract but was waived before the regular season.
Now with Raptors 905, the team’s G League affiliate, Gueye has been averaging 14.0 points and 8.7 rebounds over 21 regular-season games. This marks his second consecutive season in the G League, having previously played for the Texas Legends.
The Raptors, having recently secured D.J. Carton on a two-way deal, now find all three of their two-way slots occupied. With the impending addition of Gueye, another roster move is required for his contract to be formalized. Notably, Markquis Nowell and Jontay Porter also hold two-way contracts, and Toronto possesses an open roster spot, providing flexibility for potential conversions to standard deals.
Monday marks the final day for players to secure two-way contracts, so any other moves by the Raptors will need to happen quickly.
