The Raptors have agreed to a two-year contract with second-round pick Dalano Banton, per Shams Charania and Blake Murphy of The Athletic.
The rookie deal is worth $2.5 million, Charania and Murphy added. The first year of the deal is full guaranteed, Murphy added.
Banton, 21, is a 6-foot-9 forward who was selected out of Nebraska with the No. 46 overall pick. He spent one full season with the Cornhuskers after transferring from Western Kentucky, averaging 9.6 points and 5.9 rebounds.
He compiled averages of 7.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks in the first two games with the Raptors’ summer team in Las Vegas, and is likely to spend plenty of time learing the pro game in the G League.
