Hawks GM Landry Fields is reportedly exploring a number of moves this offseason, likely in an effort to find another top option to put alongside the backcourt of Trae Young and Dejounte Murray.
One such possibility is Raptors power forward Pascal Siakam, it seems. Per Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports, at the very least, the Hawks have Siakam on their radar.
Toronto is viewed as a team that could reset the roster, building it around young forward Scottie Barnes. If that’s the case, a player such as Siakam would bring in plenty of assets — picks, players, or both.
With a new coach in Darko Rajakovic, it wouldn’t be a big surprise if the Raptors decided to start over. And if not start over entirely, at least make some changes.
Meanwhile, Atlanta is said to be very active ahead of the 2023 NBA Draft and free agency. Along with targeting talents such as Siakam, they are reportedly shopping forward John Collins again. Collins has already been linked to the Mavericks and Suns.
In fact, for the Hawks, it seems Young is truly the lone untouchable.
