Raptors’ Pascal Siakam Out Indefinitely With Abductor Strain

Raptors forward Pascal Siakam will miss at least two weeks with an abductor strain, the team announced in a press release, via Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.

Siakam, 28, is averaging career-highs with 24.8 points, 9.3 rebounds and 7.7 assists through the first nine games. So needless to say, this will be a tough loss for the athletic and physical Raptors.

Of course, they have an array of players who are capable of stepping up — from reigning Rookie of the Year Scottie Barnes to OG Anunoby to Precious Achiuwa to Chris Boucher.

Others such as Otto Porter Jr., Thaddeus Young and Juancho Hernangomez could also see expanded roles in Siakam’s absence. He is considered out indefinitely and will be re-evaluated in two weeks.
