The Raptors are signing guard Armoni Brooks to a second 10-day contract, according to Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca.
Brooks, 23, is 6-foot-3 and has appeared in four games with the Raptors through Tuesday. While he’s played a small role, it’s hard to argue with the Raptors’ success lately. They’re coming off three straight road wins over the Suns, Nuggets and Lakers, respectively.
Once Brooks’ second 10-day expires, the Raptors will either have to commit to him for the rest of the season or allow him to enter free agency.
Brooks was waived by the Rockets on the day of the trade deadline, Feb. 10. He averaged 6.2 points in 41 games, after averaging 11.2 in 20 appearances last season as a rookie. Prior to joining the Raptors, he had been playing for the College Park SkyHawks of the G League.
