It appears the Toronto Raptors are just getting started.
After agreeing to a trade that will send forward OG Anunoby to the New York Knicks for guard/forward RJ Barrett and guard Immanuel Quickley, there could be more moves on the horizon.
Namely, the Raptors will continue to explore trades centered on big man Pascal Siakam, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Canadian native Barrett and Quickley are nice additions — but from the sounds of things, the Raptors think they can get back in the playoff picture by swinging big and getting a nice return for Siakam. It’s hard to know if they’re going anywhere with him.
Siakam, a two-time All-Star, is eligible for unrestricted free agency this summer. He is averaging 21.3 points, 6.7 rebounds and 5.2 assists this season, shooting 51 percent from the field.
The Golden State Warriors, Indiana Pacers and Dallas Mavericks are three teams that have been linked to Siakam.
