The Raptors will retain forward Sam Dekker and waive power forward Ishmail Wainright, as relayed by Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.
Dekker, 27, spent the past two seasons overseas, most recently with Türk Telekom. Before that, he played for Lokomotiv Kuban.
He last spent time in the NBA with the Wizards, averaging 6.1 points and 3.0 rebounds in 38 games. He has also served stints with the Cavaliers, Clippers and Rockets, as well as the G League with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
Wainright, 26, is 6-foot-6 and played for Baylor from 2013-17. He has spent three seasons overseas, most recently with French club Strasbourg. He spent two years in Germany before that.
“He should have interest around the league as a positionally versatile defender and maybe the best person I’ve ever met around the sport,” Murphy wrote.
