The Bucks have waived guard/forward Rayjon Tucker, who will sign with the Melbourne United of Australia’s NBL, per JD Shaw of Hoops Rumors.
Tucker, 24, is 6-foot-3 and appeared in just two games with the Bucks last season, signing a three-year contract at the end of the year. Clearly, that deal was non-guaranteed.
He mostly spent the year with the Wisconsin Herd of the G League, where he averaged 17.1 points and 4.8 rebounds in 13 appearances. He has also played for the Nuggets, 76ers and Jazz since entering the NBA in 2019. In 39 NBA games, Tucker carries averages of 3.0 points and 50 percent shooting.
Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reported back on July 14 that the Bucks intended to waive Tucker, and now the move is official. As Shaw noted, this will serve as the first overseas run of Tucker’s early career.
