The NBA held several tiebreakers for the 2022 Draft, helping to determine at least part of the order of selections.
Obviously, the draft lottery on May 17 will determine the first 14 picks — but other than that, the draft is set. The tiebreakers conducted Monday consisted of teams that finished the regular season with identical records.
The results are as follows:
- Bulls (No. 18) over Timberwolves (No. 19)
- Spurs (No. 20, via Raptors) over Nuggets (No. 21)
- 76ers (No. 23) over Bucks (No. 24) over Spurs (No. 25, via Celtics).
The Nets have the option of acquiring this pick from the 76ers, or allowing the 76ers to use it, giving the Nets the 76ers’ 2023 first-rounder. and instead acquiring the Sixers’ 2023 first-round pick. - Heat (No. 27) over Warriors (No. 28)
Following the tiebreakers, with the exception of the 14-team lottery, scheduled for May 17, the 2022 NBA Draft is set in its entirety.
4 ties were broken today that will impact the 1st rd.
