Unrestricted free agent Kelly Oubre seems unlikely to return to the Hornets, given their abundance of wing players, per Roderick Boone of the Charlotte Observer.
The Hornets selected Alabama forward Brandon Miller with the No. 2 overall draft pick and small forward Miles Bridges is expected to return after a one-season absence. Also, guard/forward Gordon Hayward will be back, unless someone else is willing to take on his $31.5 million salary.
Oubre signed with the Hornets in 2024 and has been impactful as a starter or reserve, averaging 20.3 points in 48 games last season, shooting 43 percent from the field and 32 percent n 3-pointers.
As for Bridges, the Hornets did indeed extend a qualifying offer, setting him up for a return. We have that full story here.
