The Rockets have waived center Willie Cauley-Stein, as well as shooting guard Pierria Henry, the team announced in a press release.
Cauley-Stein, 28, is 7-foot-0 and signed a multiyear deal with the Mavericks in December, only to be waived a month later after appearing in 20 games. He signed a 10-day contract with the 76ers in February but was let go in March.
Overall, he appeared in 20 games last season, including 18 with the Mavs. The No. 6 overall pick in 2015, he has also spent time with the Kings and Warriors, compiling career averages of 8.7 points and 5.9 rebounds.
He signed with the Rockets on Oct. 9.
Henry, 29, is 6-4 and has spent his entire pro career overseas, dating back to 2015. He spent the previous two seasons in Turkey.
As we relayed here, the Rockets also waived veteran center/forward Derrick Favors.
