The Jazz have reached agreement on a contract with former Spurs forward Rudy Gay, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.
The deal is for two years and $12.1 million, with a player option on the second year, agents Raymond Brothers and Sam Permut tell Charania.
Gay, 34, is 6-foot-8 and averaged 11.4 points and 4.8 rebouds in 63 games with the Spurs last season.
He should be a solid addition to a forward spot that already includes the likes Royce O’Neale, Bojan Bogdanovic and Joe Ingles, offering more veteran play for a team that finished with the league’s best record.
