Legendary center Shaquille O’Neal left the world wondering what was wrong after tweeting a picture of himself in a hopsital bed, IVs running into his arms.
“U good big man?” tweeted former NBA center Roy Hibbert.
We couldn’t be sure, because the caption alongside the picture revealed only that O’Neal enjoyed watching “Inside the NBA” host Ernie Johnson and WNBA great Candace Parker on TNT. O’Neal, of course, is on the award-winning TNT pre- and postgame show with Johnson, Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith.

That was it — O’Neal said nothing more. And that led to a furry of concern.
But it appears the Big Diesel is going to be OK, as TMZ reported that O’Neal had to undergo hip surgery over the weekend. “We’re told he’s already on the mend,” TMZ wrote.
O’Neal, who turned 51 on March 6, was recently spotted at the Big 12 tournament shaking hands with legendary in-game analyst Dick Vitale. He also threw himself a big birthday bash on March 10.
Word is, he will back on the TNT set shortly.
The No. 1 overall pick of the 1992 NBA Draft, O’Neal spent time with the Magic, before joining the Lakers and winning three championships. He won another with the Heat and also spent time with the Suns, Cavaliers and Celtics.
He retired in 2011 with career averages of 23.7 points, 10.9 rebounds and 58 percent shooting.
