The 76ers are signing St. John’s guard/forward Julian Champagnie to a two-way contract, per Kyle Nuebeck of Philly Voice.
Champagnie, 20, is 6-foot-8 and played three seasons at St. John’s, averaging 19.2 points and 6.6 rebounds in 31 games in 2021-22. Several mock drafts had him slated as a second-round pick.
Overall, he shot 41 percent from the field and 78 percent from the free-throw line, being named first-team All-Big East in the process.
He is the twin brother of Raptors two-way swingman Justin Champagnie, and you can probably catch both in the Las Vegas summer league with their respective clubs. Vegas play tips off July 7.
