Coach Doc Rivers of the 76ers has entered the NBA’s health and safety protocols, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Rivers will be replaced by lead assistant Dan Burke, Woj added.
Rivers is the latest coach to enter protocols, joining the Nuggets’ Mike Malone, Lakers’ Frank Vogel, Bulls’ Billy Donovan, Suns’ Monty Williams, Trail Blazers’ Chauncey Billups and Thunder’s Mark Daigneault.
The 76ers (18-16) have won three of four heading into Thursday’s road game vs. the Nets.

“While Rivers is obviously the voice of this team and he is the one who leads the way, Burke will have to be able to take over and help this team get it done,” wrote Ky Carlin of USA Today.
