Former Lakers coach Frank Vogel has interviewed for the 76ers’ coaching opening, per John Clark of NBC Sports Philadelphia.
Vogel, 49, was not a coach anywhere this past season after being fired by the Lakers at the end of the 2021-22.
The Sixers are casting a fairly wide net in looking to replace Doc Rivers, dismissed after the season. Former Rockets coach Mike D’Antoni has also been linked to the vacancy.
Vogel spent three years with the Lakers, coaching them during the 2020 championship season in the Disney Bubble.
He has also served as head coach of the Magic and Pacers, compiling a regular-season record of 431-389 in 11 seasons overall.
Sixers president of basketball operations Daryl Morey has not given a specific timeframe on when the Sixers intend to hire their next coach.
