The 76ers have officially signed draft-and-stash forward/center Filip Petrusev, the team announced.
Also, it was revealed in a separate announcement that they have signed rookie center Azuolas Tubelis to a two-way contract.
Petrusev, 23, is 6-foot-11 and was selected with the No. 50 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. He then spent the next two seasons playing in Turkey and Serbia. Per Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer, he has agreed to a standard contract (as opposed to a two-way).
Meanwhile, Tubelis is also 6-11 and started three years at Arizona, averaging 19.8 points and 9.1 rebounds last season. He is one of the three two-way slots filled by Philadelphia — with ex-North Carolina State guard Terquavion Smith and ex-Arkansas guard Ricky Council IV being the others. Teams are allowed three two-way players for the first time this season.
Along with that, the Sixers reportedly have signed former Arizona State forward Marcus Bagley to a training camp contract.
Filip Petrušev finally got his wish, signing a standard contract with the 76ers. Meanwhile, Ąžuolas Tubelis inked his two-way deal with the Sixers. Petrušev was a draft-and-stash the past two seasons.
