The 76ers are signing former first-round pick MarJon Beauchamp to a two-way contract, according to Tony Jones of The Athletic. To open the slot, the Sixers are waiving rookie guard Hunter Sallis.
Beauchamp, 25, was the 24th overall pick in the 2022 draft and has already bounced around a bit, spending time with the Bucks, Clippers and Knicks. Across 135 NBA games, he’s averaged 4.1 points and 1.9 rebounds in limited minutes.
After brief preseason stops, he landed with Delaware, the Sixers’ G League affiliate, and has been one of the most efficient scorers on the circuit.
In seven appearances during the Tip-Off Tournament and Winter Showcase, he averaged 20.7 points while shooting 50 percent from the field, 45.2 percent from three and 93.3 percent at the line.
He also turned heads internationally, scoring a Team USA qualifying-record 50 points across two World Cup qualifiers earlier this month.
Beauchamp is in his final year of two-way eligibility and joins Dominick Barlow and Jabari Walker, both of whom have already logged meaningful minutes.
