The Spurs and the Pistons are among the teams interested in Bulls free agent forward Lauri Markkanen, according to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report.
Along with those two, the Timberwolves could have an interest, reported Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, adding that both the Bulls and Markkanen are “open to a sign-and-trade” arrangement.
Markkanen, 24, is 7-foot-0 and averaged 13.6 points and 5.3 rebounds in 51 games last season. As Scotto noted, he also shot a career-high 48 percent from the floor.
Chicago recently extended him a qualifying offer, making him a restricted free agent. So the Bulls would have an opportunity to match any offer he might receive once the market opens.
Per Scotto, the Thunder could be another team with Markannen on its radar.
