The Spurs are bringing in Stanley Umude on an Exhibit 10 deal, per Paul Garcia of The Spot Up Shot and Keith Smith of Spotrac. That pushes San Antonio’s roster count to 20, one shy of the training camp limit.
Umude, 26, spent last season with the Bucks on a two-way contract. He saw spot duty in 22 games for Milwaukee and logged heavier minutes in the G League, where he averaged 17.5 points and 4.4 rebounds in 13 games for the Wisconsin Herd.
He also suited up for the Bucks’ Summer League team in July and previously spent two years in Detroit’s system on another two-way deal. The Arkansas product went undrafted in 2022.
If he does not make the Spurs’ regular-season roster, Umude could still land with the Austin Spurs of the G League. Under Exhibit 10 rules, that would net him a bonus of up to $85,300 if he sticks there for at least 60 days.
