The Spurs have waived forward Alize Johnson, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
Johnson, 26, is 6-foot-7 and per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, his deal with the Spurs was for $2 million, though clearly non-guaranteed.
Johnson certainly has gained his fair share of experience, spending time with the Bulls, Wizards and Pelicans last season alone, the latter two on 10-day contracts (he signed two of those in New Orleans).
Along with the aforementioned, he has also spent time with the Pacers and Nets since entering the league in 2018. Last season, he appeared in 23 games overall, averaging around 2.0 points and 3.0 rebounds.
Overall, he carries NBA career averages of 2.5 points and 3.0 boards in 72 games. He has also spent time with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants and Raptors 905 of the G League.
