The Spurs have waived point guard Tommy Kuhse, the team announced in a press release.
Kuhse, 25, is 6-foot-2 and went undrafted out of St. Mary’s this past summer. He played for the Magic at the Las Vegas Sumer League, where played well — averaging 17.3 points and shooting 54 percent from the field, including 40 percent on 3-pointers.
He then appeared in two preseason games after signing with the Spurs in August, averaging 6.0 points and 1.5 assists.
San Antonio’s roster now stands at 19 following the move, so there’s a chance someone else could be signed to a camp deal. Kuhse very well could be headed to the Austin Spurs of the G League.
