The Suns have acquired center Jock Landale in a trade with the Hawks, the team announced in a press release.
Landale, 26, is 6-foot-11 and was traded by the Spurs to the Hawks on June 30 as part of the Dejounte Murray deal. The Hawks received cash considerations from the Suns in the trade.
Landale signed a multi-year deal with the Spurs last August. He appeared in 54 games and averaged 4.9 points and 2.6 rebounds. Before that, he played internationally, winning a bronze medal with the Australian national team at the 2020 Olympics.
The Suns lost backup center JaVale McGee to the Mavericks and are still deciding what to do with restricted free agent Deandre Ayton, a former No. 1 overall draft pick.
