Suns coach Monty Williams has entered health and safety protocols, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Williams is one of several coaches to have entered the protocols since the start of December, joining the Bulls’ Billy Donovan, Trail Blazers’ Chauncey Billups and Lakers’ Frank Vogel. Pacers coach Rick Carlisle and Kings interim man Alvin Gentry were in protocols earlier this season.
The Suns have avoided the health and safety sweep that’s depleted the league thus far, though forward Jae Crowder and guard Elfrid Payton just recently entered.
Phoenix (26-6) has the league’s second-best record, trailing only the Warriors, by half a game.
