Shooting guard Devin Booker and the Suns are on the brink of playoff elimination, but from the sounds of things, remain confident.
They trail their series vs. the Nuggets by a 3-2 count.
“I’ve been in here a couple of times now,” Booker told reporters. “I love it. Every game has its own character. Every game is its own movie, its own different preparation and everything to go with it. We’re going watch over film, see how we can be better for Game 6.”
Star forward Kevin Durant added that the Suns will need to have even more of a sense of urgency.
“It’s just about going out there and playing every possession like it’s your last,” Durant said, via Dan Bickley of Arizona Sports. “(We’ve) seen this team for five games now. They’ve seen us. It’s all about who wants it more.”
- Point guard Chris Paul could return from a left groin injury for Game 6. “We’ll see, I’m trying to,” he told Tim MacMahon of ESPN.
- The Suns will need someone besides Durant and Booker to step up to win two straight and overtake the Nuggets, wrote Duane Rankin of the Arizona Republic.
- As for Game 5, Phoenix could do little right to put itself on the brink of elimination in Game 5, wrote Greg Moore of the Arizona Republic.
