The Suns have agreed to a training camp contract with point guard Chasson Randle, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Randle, 28, is 6-foot-2 and spent last season on a two-way contract with the Magic. He appeared in 41 games, averaging 6.5 points and 2.0 rebounds.
Along with the Magic, Randle has spent time with the Warriors, Wizards, Knicks and 76ers, appearing in 119 games overall since 2016.
“Based on Wojnarowski’s report, it sounds like Randle’s contract with Phoenix will be non-guaranteed,” noted Luke Adams of Hoops Rumors. “However, it won’t include Exhibit 10 language, since the Suns don’t have a G League affiliate and Randle is ineligible to have his contract converted to a two-way deal.”
In other words, if Randle is to stick, he will have to beat out someone else for a spot on the standard roster.
The defending Western Conference champion Suns tip off training camp next week.
